Mount Washington

Distance: 3.8 miles 
Time: 3 hours 50 minutes hiking time, one group hiked it in a little more than 3 hours!!  

Yesterday we hiked the Ammonoosuc Ravine trail to the summit of Mount Washington and took the Cog Railway down. Lee, Billly, and Jake hiked Mt. Monroe too!! The weather was perfect! There were 15 of us.  We stayed over night for two nights at a bed and breakfast. It was a beautiful hike with waterfalls and open views at the top. It was steep but was so great to take the train down.  Great day!!

Mount Morgan Mount Percival

Today we hiked Squam Mountain. The weather was perfect! The hike was great with ladders and caves. It was hard for all of us so I'm nervous for next weekend. After the hike we went to the country store at Squam Lake and then to Meredith. It was a great day!

Mount Pierce NH

Today we hiked Mt Pierce in the White Mountains. It was a beautiful day. We stopped at the Mizpah Spring Hut on the way up.  It was a steady hike with one steep section after the Hut.  On the way home we stopped at a swimming hole. Becky, Ellen, Kelsey, and Billy jumped off the cliffs.  

The swimming hole we stopped at was beautiful.

Billy the Kid-napper

Elevation gain: about 3000 feet!!!

Today we set out to hike Pemigewasset Trail (a 3 hour hike) The exit to the hike was closed so we drove to the next exit and Billy got off at the Mount Lafayette hike (hence the kidnapping by Billy!  We were diverted to a 6 hour tough hike!!) The hike had stunning water falls but we were socked in with clouds at the top. It was by far our hardest hike yet!!
