Port de Soller

Today we hiked one hour to Soller and took the trolley to Port de Soller on the ocean.  We arrived to Soller early and shopped. In Port de Soller we had lunch. We tried the Paella finally. It was delicious. 

Fumador Hike

Today we hiked up to the top of a mountain near us. It was steep the whole way up mainly on cobblestone stairs and trails. The views were beautiful and we could see the ocean at the top. 

This was a beautiful house on the trail with a huge terrace.

Deia

Yesterday late in the day we drove to Deia a popular small village near us. We drove on a winding road up through the mountains to get there.  We were overlooking the ocean but it got socked in with clouds while we were there. 

Biniaraix Hike

Today we hiked for 4 hours to Biniaraix a little hamlet near us. We went through cobblestone stairs and paths. When we got to Biniaraix we realized we could keep hiking to Binibassi and back to Fornalutx.  The hike was gorgeous. 

This is the local bakery. Every morning we walk to the bakery for fresh bread. 

Palma de Mallorca

Today we hiked and then we took the wooden train to Palma de Mallorca from Sóller. The train ride took one hour.  We went through several tunnels through the mountains and the ride was beautiful. We visited La Seu Cathedral, took a horse drawn carriage ride and then we walked around Palma.  The city of Palma is a beautiful European city with many cobblestone pedrestrian zones and outdoor cafes.
